One of the most heartwarming stories to come out of this year’s Snaffle Bit Futurity has been watching John Swales pilot Bowie Nights and Its Jelly Time through the Open Futurity rounds — not for himself, but for his sister, Veronica. At the NSHA show in Las Vegas, Veronica was injured while showing and, although she’s on the road to recovery, she wasn’t able to ride her futurity prospects at the Snaffle Bit. So she called on her brother, and fellow NRCHA professional, John to step in. John jump
