"The greatest race engine of all time" is a big, BIG statment, especially for a 4cyl 16V turbo engine, but it's said a lot about this engine, and I think I agree. This is the Offy Turbo, an engine first used in 1933, 89 years ago (in N/A form), and was making BIG power right back in the 1960s, long before 99% of people had even heard of a turbo, and making as much as 1200bhp and revving to 10,000rpm in the early 1970s!
